What we do with your details

Short version: we collect only what you type into the enquiry form, we use it to answer that enquiry, we do not sell it, and you can ask us to delete it whenever you like. The rest of this page is that same commitment written out properly.

Who this policy covers

This policy explains what happens to the information you give us through this site. The data controller is the organisation that operates this site and handles enquiries about the Xiaomi SU7 in your market. If you want to reach us about anything on this page, use the enquiry form on the contact page and say that your message is about privacy. It will be routed to the right people.

This site is an information and enquiry site. It does not sell anything directly, it does not take payment, and it does not create an account for you.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into the enquiry form. There is no hidden collection, no tracking pixel from an advertising network, and no profile built about you across other websites.

  • Your full name, so we know how to address you
  • Your email address, which is how we reply
  • Your phone number, only if you choose to give it
  • Your preferred location or city, only if you choose to give it
  • Which of the options you selected: a test drive, the brochure, or both
  • Anything you write in the comments field
  • A record that you gave consent to be contacted, and when

Why we use it

We use your information to answer your enquiry and for nothing else. That means arranging a test drive, sending the brochure, or replying to a question you asked. We do not sell your details, we do not rent them, and we do not pass them to advertisers.

Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box before you submit the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time and we will stop contacting you.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records only as long as they are useful for the purpose you submitted them, plus any period we are required to retain them for legal or accounting reasons. When an enquiry is closed and that period has passed, the record is deleted.

If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will do that unless we are legally required to keep them.

Who can see it

Your enquiry is visible to the people who need it to respond to you. We also rely on service providers for hosting and email delivery, who process data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We may disclose information where we are legally required to, for example in response to a valid legal request. We will not do so otherwise.

Cookies and measurement

This site does not set advertising or marketing cookies, and it does not use cross-site tracking. Aggregate, privacy-friendly visitor statistics may be collected by the hosting platform to show how many people visited which pages. Those statistics are counted without cookies and are not used to identify you as an individual.

If third-party analytics or advertising tools are added to this site in future, this policy will be updated first and consent will be requested where the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over the information we hold about you. In the UK and the European Economic Area these include the following, and we will not charge you for exercising them.

  • Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete your information
  • Ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us using it
  • Withdraw your consent to be contacted at any time
  • Complain to your national data protection authority if you think we have got this wrong

How we protect it

Enquiries are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in an access-controlled database. Access is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, which for an enquiry form is limited contact detail rather than financial or health data.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where a change is significant and affects information we already hold, we will contact you about it rather than relying on you noticing the update.
