Quick is the easy part

Any electric car can be fast in a straight line. The interesting question is what happens next: how the chassis settles, how the steering talks back, how the assistance behaves when traffic closes in, and whether you still want to be in the car three hours later.

01 / Driving experience

Set up to be driven, not just travelled in

The SU7 was tuned around the idea that an electric car should be more engaging than the thing it replaces, not merely quieter. Mass sits low and centred, the steering rack is quick without being nervous, and the drive modes genuinely change the car rather than just changing a colour on the display.

  • Progressive power delivery

Throttle mapping is calibrated so that the first third of pedal travel is usable in traffic and the last third is where the pace lives. You are never fighting the car for smoothness at low speed.

  • Chassis balance

With the battery flat in the floor and weight spread between the axles, the car resists roll and settles quickly after a direction change. It stays flat where a taller electric vehicle would lean and take a moment to recover.

  • Steering feedback

Effort builds as the front tyres load up, so you can feel grip arriving and going away. The weighting changes between drive modes, but the underlying response stays consistent so the car never surprises you.

  • Adjustable regeneration

Choose how much the car slows when you lift off. Set it low to coast freely on a fast road, or high to drive most of your commute without touching the brake pedal.

02 / Safety and assist

Support that earns its place

Assistance systems are only useful if you trust them enough to leave them on. The SU7 combines camera and radar sensing to build a picture of the road around it, then intervenes in proportion to the situation rather than grabbing at the controls.

  • Structural protection

A high-strength safety cell surrounds the occupants, with the battery pack structurally protected within the floor and isolated in the event of a significant impact.

  • Adaptive cruise with stop and go

Holds a set gap to the vehicle ahead, slows with traffic, comes to a complete stop and moves off again. It removes most of the fatigue from congested motorway driving.

  • Lane keeping and blind spot

Gentle correction if you drift out of lane without indicating, and a warning if a vehicle is sitting where your mirrors cannot show it.

  • Emergency braking

Forward collision warning escalates to autonomous braking if you do not respond, covering vehicles and vulnerable road users ahead of the car.

  • Attention monitoring

The car watches for signs that engagement is dropping on a long drive and prompts you to take a break. Assistance features support you, they do not replace you.

03 / Infotainment

One interface across three screens

The central touchscreen, driver cluster and head-up display run as a single system rather than three separate ones. Information moves to whichever surface makes sense for the moment, so navigation guidance sits in your line of sight while media and climate stay within reach of your hand.

  • Your account travels with you

Sign in and your navigation history, media, contacts and interface layout arrive with you. Get in a second time and the car is already how you left it.

  • Controls that stay put

Climate, volume, defrost and drive mode are always reachable without hunting through menus. The things you use constantly do not move around between software versions.

  • Navigation built for electric

Route planning accounts for charging, adding stops where you need them and preconditioning the battery before you arrive so the charge rate is not wasted warming up.

  • Voice that understands context

Ask for a temperature change, a destination or a song in plain language. The system resolves what you meant rather than requiring an exact command phrase.

04 / Driver comfort

Built to still feel good three hours in

A sport car that punishes you on a long journey is a car you stop using. The SU7 pairs a firm, supportive driving position with genuine refinement, so the sharpness is there when you want it and out of the way when you do not.

  • Seating and driving position

Sport seats hold you through corners without pinching on a motorway run, and the seat drops low enough that you sit in the car rather than on it.

  • Cabin quiet

Acoustic glazing, sealed panel joints and aerodynamic detailing keep wind and road noise down. With no engine noise to mask them, those details matter more, not less.

  • Climate that anticipates

Precondition the cabin from your phone so it is already at temperature when you arrive, and let the system hold it there efficiently once you are moving.

  • Storage and practicality

Four doors, four adult seats and a usable boot. The sport proportions do not cost you the ability to use the car for the things a car is for.

05 / Specification

The specification, stated honestly

Where a figure depends on trim, market, wheel size or conditions, it is written as an upper bound rather than a promise. Confirmed numbers for your market are in the specification pack, and we will go through them with you rather than leaving you to decode a table.

Drivetrain and chassis

Configuration varies by trim. Exact outputs and dimensions are confirmed for your market at enquiry.

Drivetrain and chassis
FieldDetail
Body styleFour-door electric sport sedan, four seats plus boot
Drive layoutRear-wheel drive, or dual-motor all-wheel drive on the Max
Battery positionFlat pack mounted in the floor, between the axles
SuspensionPerformance-tuned multi-link, with adaptive damping on the Max
Drive modesComfort, Sport and a track-oriented mode on the Max
RegenerationAdjustable, from free coasting to near one-pedal driving

Performance envelope

Stated as behaviour rather than numbers. Verified figures are provided in the specification pack.

Range and charging

All range and charging behaviour is stated as an upper bound under favourable conditions.

Drive it before you decide

Reading about a car only gets you so far. Book a test drive and spend proper time with the SU7 on a route that includes both town traffic and open road, or request the brochure first if you would rather have the detail in front of you.
